Opera Bałtycka

version for the visually impaired

Opera? Si!

Opera? Si!
Everything you wanted to know about opera but you don't know who to ask!

It is a series of meetings during which we satisfy the hunger for opera and suppress fear of it. Our expert, Jerzy Snakowski, will explain the strangest phenomena in the world of opera and opera habits: how does a voice arise? how to dress for the opera to feel comfortable? and what to do when a cell phone rings during the performance…?

The current season is the 70th birthday of the Baltic Opera. So we reach for its history, recalling the most important performances and people who contributed to the institution's successes. We will also listen to works that have not yet been exhibited on the Gdańsk stage – and maybe soon they will be hosted on it.
