COPY CORPO (Darek Pietraszewski)
Darek Pietraszewski (Copy Corpo) – VJ, Tape Jockey, concert organiser, promoter of independent music and cassette culture. He is a co-director of the audiovisual cassette label Pointless Geometry. Until 2025, he was a co-manager of the Łódź-based café and club Ignorantka. He is a co-founder of Poland’s first community radio station, Radio Kapitał. He performs unconventional cassette and vinyl sets drawing on plunderphonics, radio plays and mixtapes, as well as classic mixes showcasing contemporary cassette releases.
As VJ Copy Corpo, he creates visuals based on feedback loops from analogue video mixers and footage sourced from VHS tapes. In his improvised sets, he works with the aesthetics of analogue glitch and psychedelia, building on colour-based structures. His recent projects include the audiovisual installation and video Temple of Urania, as well as the video accompanying the entire album Far, Far in Chicago. Footberk Suite by Gary Gwadera.
He has performed at festivals including Kody, Lado w Mieście, Braille Satellite, Dym, Sanatorium Dźwięku, Nadmiar, Mózg Festival, Fonomo Music & Film Festival, Rhizom, Atom and Hamselyt. He also designs graphics for posters and cassette release covers.
At the Futurofonia Festival, he will present a cassette-and-vinyl set exploring the broadly understood phenomenon of the “voice.”
