The second edition of the interdisciplinary festival redefining the role of the voice as a vehicle for emotion, technology, and new forms of artistic expression.
FUTUROFONIA is more than a music festival – it is a laboratory of the voice, exploring its role and function as an instrument of modernity. Drawing on current performance practices and 21st-century aesthetics, the festival’s creators place the human voice at the heart of an interdisciplinary experiment. The festival moves beyond the boundaries of traditional vocal performance, bringing together electroacoustic experiments, sound performances, field recordings, sound installation art, and live improvisation incorporating dance and multimedia.

On Saturday, 5 September, public consultations on the construction of a new Baltic Opera will also be held as part of the Futurofonia Festival. A MOBILE CONSULTATION POINT will be operating in the Opera’s foyer throughout the day.
This is a brief but important opportunity to hear from the people who use this place every day – and from those who will use it in the future.
