Culture without barriers

The Baltic Opera in Gdańsk is one of 111 cultural institutions from Poland, which will receive funds under the EU project "Culture without barriers" co-implemented by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled and the Culture Without Barriers Foundation. The project aims to improve the accessibility of the offer of Polish cultural institutions for people with special needs.

The project involves comprehensive training for the institution's staff on accessibility, including audio description, and the needs of blind and partially sighted people. Audio description will be prepared for two titles from the Opera's repertoire, sensory walks and the website of the Baltic Opera meeting the accessibility standards.
