St. Nicholas' Day at the Opera
We have prepared dance and musical attractions for you on St. Nicholas' Day.
Audience members attending the performance of Camille Saint-Saëns' "The Carnival of the Animals" on December 6th will also have the opportunity to see the one-act ballet "The Fairy Doll" (or The Doll Fairy), prepared by the students of the General Ballet School in Gdańsk. This performance is included in your purchased ticket for "The Carnival of the Animals" and will take place after a short intermission.
Josef Bayer's ballet "The Fairy Doll" transports the audience inside a toy shop, where the dolls come to life after dark. The plot, centered around the nightly dances of dolls of various nationalities led by the titular Fairy, serves as a pretext for presenting a series of brilliant and diverse dance showcases.
We also invite you to a piano recital, "The Chopin Effect," featuring Bartosz Skłodowski, which will take place in the foyer at 4:00 PM.
