St. Luke Passion is one of Krzysztof Penderecki's most famous works, composed in 1965. It is an oratorio that blends modern musical techniques with a deep religious message. The composition tells the story of the passion and death of Jesus Christ, based on the Gospel of St. Luke. The work is characterized by intense, emotional expression, using unconventional combinations of instruments and voices. The Passion received international acclaim and became one of Penderecki's most important achievements in his career.
