For years, the girl has been obsessed with the wandering Dutchman - a ship wandering around the ratings and bringing misfortune to sailors. However, it turns out that the man to whom Daland gave his daughter is the captain of the cursed sailors. He will not experience the desired death until he meets a faithful and devoted woman. Senta decides to save him. Unfortunately, the Dutchman is a living corpse, and marrying a corpse is only possible through death. When the Dutchman's ship enters the fog, the girl throws herself off the rock into the sea and finally frees her beloved from the hated life.
