Description
Summer solstice, night atmosphere, the middle of a great forest, in addition, everything in a dreamlike reality ... Steeped in magic and love, the story, with extremely popular music by Mendelssohn and a phenomenal ballet ensemble on stage, is one of the most-watched and listened works at the Baltic Opera.
Shakespeare's work, which is the starting point for the production, focuses on the drama of lovers - Hermia and Lizander - who, looking for an escape in the Athenian forest from the girl's unfriendly father, mix in the everyday life of forest spirits, with Puck at the forefront. Comic ballet with mythology in the background. The performance of the Baltic Opera is inspired by the Lodz version of the ballet from 1985.

Graduate of the Ballet School in Poznań. She participated in workshops at the Art Of Dance School as well as contemporary dance workshops in Bytom. She is a laureate of the Międzynarodowy Konkurs Baletowy „Złote Pointy 2016”, where she received the Audience Award, the Best Graduate Award, and the special Instytut Muzyki i Tańca award for the best performance of a contemporary variation.

Milena is a Swiss dancer and choreographer, born in Poschiavo, a village in the Swiss Alps. She graduated with highest honors from the Zurich Dance Academy, earning the federal diploma of professional ballet dancer alongside a Matura in Arts.
After performing in a production at the Zurich Opera, she joined the Baltic Opera Ballet in Gdańsk in 2018, where she has taken on a wide range of performances in ensemble and soloist roles, developing her artistic voice within the institution.
Alongside her work as a performer, she has been creating and teaching internationally. Her choreographic work, mostly explores human behavior with a particular interest in social dynamics. She often weaves subtle layers of symbolism into her pieces, moving between neoclassical and contemporary styles. This premiere marks her first full-scale production.
Her work has received several awards, including the Danse Suisse Award (2017), the Graubünden Cultural Prize (2022), and the Audience Award at the Solocoreografico Festival in Turin.

Since 2018, together with Sayaka Haruna-Kondracka, she has been creating original productions, including Below Sea Level, Carousel, My Fault, Imago, Ego, and Encounter. In 2019, they assisted Izabela Sokołowska-Boulton in creating the choreography for the opera Thaïs by Jules Massenet. In 2022, they were responsible for the choreography and stage movement for the opera King Roger by Karol Szymanowski, followed by Rigoletto in 2023 and La Bohème in 2024.

Graduate of the Ballet School in Gdańsk. After completing his studies, he began working at the Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, and in 1999 he joined the Baltic Opera, where he debuted as Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet.
In 2012, he received the Nagroda Miasta Gdańska dla Młodych Twórców w Dziedzinie Kultury, and in 2022 he was awarded the Nagroda Teatralna Marszałka Województwa Pomorskiego for his outstanding acting technique and vibrant stage energy in the performance of Don Quixote.

Since 2018, together with Sayaka Haruna-Kondracka, she has been creating original productions, including Below Sea Level, Carousel, My Fault, Imago, Ego, and Encounter. In 2019, they assisted Izabela Sokołowska-Boulton in creating the choreography for the opera Thaïs by Jules Massenet. In 2022, they were responsible for the choreography and stage movement for the opera King Roger by Karol Szymanowski, followed by Rigoletto in 2023 and La Bohème in 2024.

Graduate of the Ballet School in Poznań. She participated in workshops at the Art Of Dance School as well as contemporary dance workshops in Bytom. She is a laureate of the Międzynarodowy Konkurs Baletowy „Złote Pointy 2016”, where she received the Audience Award, the Best Graduate Award, and the special Instytut Muzyki i Tańca award for the best performance of a contemporary variation.

Milena is a Swiss dancer and choreographer, born in Poschiavo, a village in the Swiss Alps. She graduated with highest honors from the Zurich Dance Academy, earning the federal diploma of professional ballet dancer alongside a Matura in Arts.
After performing in a production at the Zurich Opera, she joined the Baltic Opera Ballet in Gdańsk in 2018, where she has taken on a wide range of performances in ensemble and soloist roles, developing her artistic voice within the institution.
Alongside her work as a performer, she has been creating and teaching internationally. Her choreographic work, mostly explores human behavior with a particular interest in social dynamics. She often weaves subtle layers of symbolism into her pieces, moving between neoclassical and contemporary styles. This premiere marks her first full-scale production.
Her work has received several awards, including the Danse Suisse Award (2017), the Graubünden Cultural Prize (2022), and the Audience Award at the Solocoreografico Festival in Turin.

He comes from Japan. He graduated from Studio Ballet International in Osaca and the Hungarian Dance Academy. He is a prizewinner and finalist of numerous competitions, including the Grand Prix de Paris, Helsinki International Ballet Competition, NBA Ballet Competition, and Youth America Grand Prix in Japan.
From 2011 to 2017, he collaborated with the ballet company of the Teatr Wielki w Poznaniu, where he performed as a soloist from 2013 onwards. Since September 2017, he has been a soloist of the Baltic Opera Ballet.
